Privacy Policy
Daily Affirmation ("the app", "we", "us") is an Android application developed by Cloudy NI. This policy describes how information is handled when you use the app.
Summary
The app is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not run our own servers to collect or store your personal profile, affirmations history, or favorites. Some third-party services (ads and payments) may process data under their own policies.
Information stored on your device
Locally on your phone or tablet, the app may store:
- Daily affirmation history, streak-related dates, and saved favorites
- Preferences: themes, backgrounds, dark mode, categories, and optional focus areas (onboarding)
- Optional custom background photo you choose from your gallery (stored in app-private storage)
- Reminder time and on/off settings; optional lock-screen notification preferences (Premium)
- Premium unlock status and app settings (e.g. widget match, affirmation on unlock)
- Counters used for ad frequency (for example, after sharing or using "Get another")
Uninstalling the app removes this local data from your device.
Information we do not collect
We do not operate a backend that collects your name, email, or account created inside the app. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
Google AdMob (free version of the app) may display advertisements and collect device and advertising-related data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Where required by law, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent before personalized ads.
Google Play Billing processes Premium subscriptions (and any other in-app purchases). Payment and transaction data are handled by Google, not by us directly.
Google Play Services may be used as part of the Android platform and ad/consent flows.
Notifications
If you enable a daily reminder or Premium lock-screen features, the app may show notifications that include affirmation text. That content is generated and displayed on your device; we do not upload your affirmations to our servers.

Home screen widget
The widget (Premium) displays affirmation and theme information on your home screen. Data shown comes from local storage on your device.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
If you use the app in regions with privacy laws (for example GDPR or UK GDPR), you may have rights regarding ad personalization and consent. Use device and in-app settings, and ad consent choices presented via UMP where applicable.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Delete your data
Daily Affirmation does not require an account. Most information stays only on your device (favourites, history, streaks, reminder settings, theme choices).
- Remove on-device data: uninstall the app, or in Android Settings → Apps → Daily Affirmation → Storage → Clear data.
- Advertising data: processed by Google AdMob under Google's policies. You can manage ad personalization in your Google account and device settings, and consent choices shown in the app where required.
- Purchase records: managed by Google Play. Manage subscriptions in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
- Help or a deletion request: email autoaccentsni@gmail.com (include the Google account email used for Play if relevant). We will respond within a reasonable time.
